Robert Mankoff
Underwritten by Parkleigh
April 16, 2009

Cartoonist Robert Mankoff has been contributing cartoons to The New Yorker for 20 years, and is currently its cartoon editor. He is also the founder of its on-line component, The Cartoon Bank. At The New Yorker, “We favor cartoons that communicate some idea as well as being funny,” he says. “In general no topics are taboo if handled correctly. Comedy, of which cartoons are a part, usually deals with all the problems of life excepting tragedy, but sometimes it can go there as well,” says Mankoff. He is also author of The Naked Cartoonist: A Way to Enhance your Creativity.
